Catherine Hope-Jones is a contemporary fine artist who trained at “Goldsmiths’” and has a passion for drawing and painting landscape. Her images are evocative, and shift between realism and abstraction.

The work is informed by memories of place, drawn landscape elements, found objects, weather conditions, and sounds on-site. These diverse fragments play a part in a visual language which can incorporate multi view points, heighten palette and expressive gesture. The delight of making marks joins with the use of a wide range of materials, and illusory yet tangible images emerge to energise and refresh the viewer.

In addition, recent collaboration with contemporary musicians has produced a synergy across media where she has also contributed as a performer using real time drawing techniques and projections.

Commissions are valued as a co-creative process.
