Gordon Greenall was born in Chipping Campden and has lived there all his life. He was educated at St. James School and Campden Grammar School. He worked as a carpenter until he joined the Fire Service aged 33. He has had a life long interest in poetry. Shortly after retirement from the Fire Service he was diagnosed with leukaemia. He joined a creative writing course and was urged by his tutor to publish his poetry. He decided to publish in order to raise money for the leukaemia charity(LINC). His first book (Emily and other Poems) was published in September 2005 and his second book (Cool is the Reaping) was published in April 2008. He intends to publish a third book in the spring of 2010 with any proceeds again going to charity.
